Team Ninja Head Yosuke Hayashi has suggested that a new core title in the Dead or Alive series could be released following the upcoming 3DS ‘Dimensons’ outing.
"Dead or Alive Dimensions received positive feedback and responses from consumers, so there is definitely a future ahead," Hayashi told Eurogamer.
"Team Ninja would like to progress and work towards that future."
When asked whether the next game would appear on home consoles, Hayashi was tight-lipped. "We'll think about it. We will take that into consideration,” is all he would say.
There hasn't been a core Dead or Alive fighting game released for home consoles since Dead or Alive 4 in 2005.
